The Medicine Shoppe stores (that also have a clinic adjacent to them are referred by us as Sehat. Sehat stores are mostly in the low-income areas of Mumbai. Health care state is dismal in these areas, there are children suffering from malnutrition, men and women from anemia, skin infections, typhoid, malaria, tuberculosis etc. Sehat to us is an attempt to break the quack network, to break the vicious counterfeit drug network and provide 100% safe allopathic, ayurvedic and homeopathic medicines to our customers. The clinic has an MBBS doctor who does check ups for patients at a nominal cost. In case the patient also buys from the store he gets a doctor fee as rebate on the medicines he bought, there by getting the check up for free. The medicines prescribed by the Sehat doctor are generic versions of branded drugs, further lowering the cost of medical care to the consumer. We also believe that only diagnosis or medication is incomplete without knowledge base. Sehat thus also has a community outreach program where health workers visit neighboring households, look for disease symptoms and guide patients to clinics. Sehat holds regular free health camps such as diabetes, BMD and foot care along with counseling to help provide better service to our customers and the community at large.
